The building houses the editorial and administrative offices of the newspaper La Provincia with the printing presses to the rear. Situated along the main entrance front to the city, the building has a large curved façade so that the corners of the sides are set back from the main road. The stereometric volume of the building for the printing presses stretches to the back of the lot and is masked by the curved avant-corps of the offices. The large front underscores the axial layout in the composition, further highlighted on the ground floor by the entrance archway. The arch extending into the construction supports the complex sequence of walls creating cavities and set-back sections with semi-concealed glazed areas. The compact continuity in the wall is re-established on the sides at the two vertical edges and in the horizontal upper profile sheltered by a projecting concrete gutter. The walls are clad with exposed brick and create a detailed pattern contrasting with the set-back elements in the window frames.
